Peter William Brewer was born in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia, specifically Gloucester County.
After graduating from high school, Peter spent 2 years at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virgina, studying classical saxophone with the great Dennis
Zeisler (also a world-class clarinetist). Peter then pursued his interest in jazz and enrolled at the University of Miami, where he completed his studies for
Bachelor of Music (saxophone/woodwinds - Studio Music and Jazz performance) in 1990. Later he continued his studies and received a Master of Music
(concentration in Studio Music and Jazz performance) from the University of Miami in 1994. During this time at UM he had the privelege of studying jazz
with great jazz musicians such as Gary Keller, Gary Campbell, Whit Sidener, Vince Maggio, and Ron Miller. Upon completion of his Master's degree, Peter
formed his own 11-piece orchestra and took it to Mallorca, Spain, where the band performed jazz and motown music nightly at Son Amar, a 2000-seat
dinner theater. Between 1993 and the present Peter has traveled between the USA and Spain performing as leader of his own groups and as a sideman.
During that span he has also worked as a private instructor of saxophone and other woodwinds and as a contractor of musicians. During 2001-2003 and
while on tour with KC and the Sunshine Band, Peter appeared as saxophonist/soloist on such nationally televised programs as the Today Show, Dick
Clark's ABC 70's Celebration, a VH1 special, and the Michael Douglas motion-picture "The In-Laws". In September 2003, Peter returned from his latest
six-month stint in Barcelona where he presided over the opening and daily musical management as the Musical Director at newly opened jazz club "Luna",
located in the spectacular Hotel La Florida on Tibidabo Mountain overlooking Barcelona. During his stint there Peter performed 4 nights a week in the club
with his own jazz groups and managed the budget and daily musical events for the club and hotel.
Based in Miami, Florida, Peter most recently toured Europe with Paul Anka during the summer of 2007, and also appeared with Anka in
concerts in Uruguay and South Florida (2007-8). Concurrent with all his professional activities, Peter is completing his studies towards a Doctoral of
